This Sunday, February 9, the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the 59th annual Super Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game will mark the 11th time the teams have played one another for the championship trophy, and as of now, the Chiefs are favored to win by 0.2 percent. However, the Eagles are expected to put up quite a fight, especially since they lost to the Kansas City-based team just two years ago. No matter who wins, though, one thing is for sure: this Super Bowl will be one for the record books thanks to its upcoming halftime performance by Kendrick Lamar and its celebrity couples like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. We look into their love story and other NFL couples below.
Will Taylor Swift be at the Super Bowl? All signs point to yes!
Since Swift’s boyfriend is the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, it is widely believed that the “Tortured Poets Department” will be at the Super Bowl.
Swift attended last year’s game between the Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens, and she even brought some A-List friends like Ice Spice and Blake Lively. It is unclear as of publication if the singer will bring along members of her girl gang this time.
Along with Swift’s appearance at the Super Bowl, there is a lot of online speculation that Travis will propose to her during Lamar’s halftime performance.
Travis simply responded, “Wouldn’t you like to know,” while smiling at the camera when asked about these rumors.
Swift and Travis have been dating for a little over a year now and can often be found supporting each other at concerts and football games or enjoying a night out in the town of New York City.
Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany will be at the Super Bowl—with their three kids
Also on the Chiefs is the quarterback and National Football League (NFL) favorite Patrick Mahomes. And who better to cheer him on than his loving wife, Brittany?
Brittany is a frequent flyer at the Chiefs games and is often seen in the box cheering on her husband with her kids right by her side—and it turns out this Super Bowl is going to be a special one because the Mahomes’ newest daughter Golden is going to be at the game.
“It’ll be her first football game at the Super Bowl, and I hope that we get her a win,” Patrick said. “It’s always motivating whenever you have another baby. I mean, just because I want them to have the same experiences that the other two have.”
Golden was born on January 12, 2025, and is the couple’s third child.
Jalen Hurt’s fiancé is rumored to make an appearance
On the Philadelphia Eagles side, quarterback Jalen Hurt’s fiancé Bry Burrows is rumored to be at the Super Bowl—however, in a much smaller capacity than Mahomes and Swift.
Unlike the Chiefs couples, Hurts and Burrows prefer to keep their private life private. Burrows has gone to games in the past, but since she isn’t a Grammy Award-winning artist or famous WAG (wife or girlfriend), her appearances are often kept under wraps.
That doesn’t mean Hurts and Burrows aren’t deeply in love. In fact, the quarterback recently took the time to show out his fiancé at a press conference.
“To Bry, the Mrs., thank you for the support, thank you for the love, and thank you for being the rock that I can lean on,” Hurts said before talking about how much getting to go to the Super Bowl means to him. “Just being able to become wiser, grow and mature and take all these lessons in for the next season and the next games. It’s had a great driving force. It lit a flame, lit a fire in me, and to have this opportunity again is exactly what you work for.”
Jason Kelce will most likely be there—but without Kylie
Former Eagles player—and brother of Chiefs star Travis—Jason Kelce is expected to attend Sunday’s game to cheer on his brother and former team.
However, his wife, Kylie, and their three kids will not be in attendance.
“They don’t also really watch football in a way that they would enjoy being in the stadium for the duration of the Super Bowl,” Kylie said. “So in an effort to sort of just give everyone their best shot at enjoying the day, they will be watching the Super Bowl from home.”
She added to that, stating that the three girls are excited “to support Uncle Trav” despite their family being die-hard Eagles fans.
Jason and Kylie are currently expecting their fourth child together and have been married since 2018.
