Mental Health America of Los Angeles (MHALA) was recently awarded two grants that will support the agency’s new efforts to serve individuals with neurodivergent conditions like autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which may co-occur with mental health challenges.
Grants totaling $175,000 to MHALA’s Wellness Center will help provide assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for members with neurodivergent conditions.
CommonSpirit Health Foundation and the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity Partnership Fund awarded MHALA a $25,000 grant and the Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation awarded MHALA a three-year $150,000 grant.
