Season 1 of The White Lotus took place in 2020, a.k.a. Covid times. Hence, filming for just about every T.V. show and film during that time was very strict and limited to try to prevent contamination and spread. This explains why we only really see one filming location in season 1 of The White Lotus: the infamous hotel resort the characters were staying at.

The first season of The White Lotus was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii. The resort was closed to guests at the time because of the pandemic, which made filming a bit easier for the cast and crew. Viewers saw gorgeous poolsides, beautiful beaches and a jaw-dropping resort while watching the show.

If you want to create your own The White Lotus season 1-inspired vacation, you can book your stay at the Four Seasons Maui for upwards of $800 per night.

While the casts of The White Lotus have changed each season thus far (except for a few recurring cast members like Jennifer Coolidge), the setting concept seems to follow suit from season to season. Season 2 of The White Lotus was filmed at another Four Seasons resort, this time off the coast of Sicily at the San Domenico Palace, owned by the Four Seasons.

During season 2, the audience saw the characters visit Noto, Palermo and Cefalù, aside from the Four Seasons resort in Taormina. The European views were breathtaking on-screen and immediately put each location on our travel bucket list.

Inspired to take a trip to Sicily for yourself and channel the vibes of season 2 of The White Lotus? You can book your stay at the San Domenico Palace for upwards of $1,100 per night.

As many predicted, season 3 of The White Lotus takes place at—you guessed it—another Four Seasons resort. While the season hasn’t premiered yet (mark your calendars for its release date of February 16), it has been confirmed that The White Lotus season 3 was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Koh Sumai in Thailand.

Filming locations of season 3 of The White Lotus also took place at the Anantara Mai Khao Villas near Phuket, and according to some, we can expect to see the cast in Bangkok and Ko Pha Ngan throughout the season. While we don’t know exactly what will happen in season 3, there’s no doubt the setting will be extraordinary.

Prices for the Four Seasons Resort Koh Sumai average upwards of $1,600 per night.
