The Real-Life Couples of the ‘Harry Potter’ Cast

It turns out some of the Harry Potter cast might have drunk the love potion Amortentia, because their love lives are almost too good to be true. Many of them are happily married or partnered with kids, but some of them have opted to be sensationally single. To learn who’s who, keep scrolling!

It turns out that life as the chosen one goes way beyond Hogwarts, because Daniel Radcliffe is in a happy and loving relationship with actress Erin Darke, who is five years older than him.

The two met while filming Kill Your Darlings (2013), and while they haven’t tied the knot yet, they did welcome a son together in 2023; however, his name still remains a mystery.

“It’s great. It’s crazy and intense, but he’s wonderful, and Erin is amazing—it’s a real privilege, Radcliffe said after his son was born.

The Harry Potter actor also just won his first Tony award for his work in Merrily We Roll Along, and Darke’s new off-Broadway play Vladimir opened in October 2024.

On-screen (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) ended up together, but off-screen, Grint has been with his partner Georgia Groome since 2011.

They also welcomed a daughter named Wednesday G in 2020, with whom he is excited to watch the Harry Potter films with.

“I’ve shown her clips from [Harry] Potter, but I don’t think she understands it’s me. When she’s old enough, I’m looking forward to watching them with her,” the actor said in 2023.

He also said that his daughter is a “Gryffindor, obviously.”

Bonnie Wright

In March 2022, the actress, best known for playing Ginny Weasley, married Andrew Lococo. They also welcomed their first child together in September 2023.

“Say hello to Elio Ocean Wright Lococo, born at home on Tuesday, 19th September. We’re all healthy and happy. Andrew and I are so in love with our son,” Wright wrote on Instagram. “So grateful for our birth team that has held our hands throughout and made the journey so joyous and expanding. Birth is the wildest experience!”

Currently, they only have one child, and Wright often posts about their outings on Instagram

Robert Pattinson might have only been in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, but his appearance as Cedric Diggory is simply unforgettable.

In real life, Pattinson is engaged to singer and actress Suki Waterhouse. They also welcomed a child together in March 2024.

The pair doesn’t comment much on their relationship, but they do walk red carpets together quite frequently.

Matthew Lewis

Neville Longbottom might not have ended up with anyone, but that certainly isn’t the case for actor Matthew Lewis.

The actor met party planner Angela Jones at Universal Studios Orlando during the 2016 Wizarding World event. They married in 2018 and have lived happily ever after since.

Emma Watson

Unlike many of her co-stars, Emma Watson has never married. Instead, she considers herself “self-partnered.”

“I never believed the whole ‘I’m happy single’ spiel,” the actress said in 2022. “I was like, ‘This is totally spiel.’ It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered.”

In that same interview, she revealed that she is “going on dates,” but that, “Dating apps are not on the cards for me. I’m very lucky in the sense that because I went to university and because I’ve done these other things outside of film, my friends are really good at setting me up. Really good. And what’s really nice is some of my best friends are people I got set up on a date with and it didn’t work out.”

Tom Felton

Everyone’s favorite villain, Tom Felton, is similar to Watson in that he is also currently unmarried.

In 2022, he admitted that he thinks a large part of it was because of his character, Draco Malfoy. “I was walking around with dyed hair and played an evil wizard. It wasn’t cool. It did me no favors with the girls.”

Some people are still holding out hope for him and Watson to get together, but Felton has said, “I don’t think I was ever in love with Emma, but I loved and admired her as a person in a way that I could never explain to anybody else…. We were kindred spirits. I know for certain I’ll always have Emma’s back and she’ll always have mine, too.”

In the intro to Felton’s memoir Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, Watson echoed similar thoughts, writing: “I’ve lost count of the times people have said to me, ‘You must have drunkenly made out, just once!’ ‘You must have kissed!’ ‘There must be something!’ But what we have is far deeper than that. It’s one of the purest loves I can think of. We’re soulmates, and we’ve always had each other’s backs. I know we always will.”
