There’s nothing we love more than a classic TV show reunion, and especially around the holidays, they just feel a little extra special. In a post recently shared to her Instagram, Mindy Kaling shared an adorable snapshot of her and her fellow leading ladies from The Office and we simply can’t get enough!
“It’s been 20 years since I first met these beautiful women!,” she wrote in the caption. “This year was a rollercoaster to say the least, and it’s so nice to be able to unpack life’s joys and challenges with people who knew me when I was a 24-year-old customer service rep in the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin. I love you guys!”
The bond between ‘The Office’ cast members stays strong
Of the most significant challenges this group of gals faced head-on this year was Jenna Fischer’s battle with breast cancer. The 50-year-old actress, who played level-headed Pam in The Office, publicly revealed the fight she had been facing in a post shared on social media in October after undergoing treatment and being declared cancer-free. One of the people she credited as an integral part of her journey was co-star Angela Kinsey, with whom she co-hosts the Office Ladies podcast.
“Thankfully I’ve been able to keep working during treatments. This was all because I work with my best friend Angela Kinsey who protected me and advocated for me,” she wrote in her post. “For a long time, she was the only person in my workspace who knew. When I lost my hair, she wore hats to our work meetings so I wouldn’t be the only one. When I needed a break, we took one.”
Kaling continued in the caption of her reunion post, “I know this was too sincere so I will add my favorite Michael Scott quote about Christmas, which is: ‘Guess who I am sitting here dressed as. I will give you a hint—his last name is Christ. He has the power of flight and he can heal leopards.’”
A look back at past ‘The Office’ reunions
Between 2005 and 2013, the cast of The Office made us laugh episode after episode, and each character brought something uniquely hilarious to the show. Over the years since the show came to an end, the cast has reunited many times, and we love to see it! In 2020, Mindy Kaling joined Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer as a guest on their podcast to discuss the famed “Diwali” episode of the show. In 2022, they were joined by Ellie Kemper to discuss the “Secretary’s Day” episode of the show.
Kaling’s co-stars shared the love on her Instagram post, with Fischer commenting back, “I love you all so much! So lucky to have you in my life all these years later!” and Kinsey responding, “Such a fun night!!!”
