It seems as though Spain has adopted the phrase “You’ve got a friend in me” because a larger-than-life Toy Story exhibit and various other popular Pixar movies have popped up there recently. And trust us when we say you have to see them to believe it. We have the now-viral video and details on the traveling Pixar exhibit below.
All about the ‘Toy Story’ house
Posted in a Reddit channel called r/Damnthatsinteresting by user TotherCanvas249 in January 2024, the video showcases a woman walking around Andy’s room from the hit Disney Pixar film Toy Story. Instead of being a normal-sized room, everything is huge, making the visitor look super-small.
According to the company’s website, this was done intentionally because the room was designed “to make visitors feel like they’re the toys. It featured larger-than-life furniture, books, blocks and human-size figures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear.”
For instance, in the viral video, the woman is seen jumping up and down, trying to reach the doorknob. She then walks underneath the nightstand before standing in Buzz Lightyear’s box and eventually ends her walk around by standing near a statue of Woody.
And while the video was cool to some, others were not a fan of it at all.
“This makes me uncomfortable, and I’ve seen a lot of things on the Internet,” commented one user. Another wrote, “ My brain literally doesn’t let me think of this as other than her being very small in a regular-sized room. How big would that room even be?”
Others, however, pointed out that the girl in the video is the only one in Andy’s room. “This is the third time I’ve seen this place, and each time has been a single Instagrammer at a time walking around in wonder,” writes one Reddit user. “What is this place where there aren’t 100 kids running around at a time? Looks too nice to be sh*tty but too empty to be nice.”
The Brazilian company did take time to comment on that, though, writing on their website, “This video is special because it shows the room before the crowds took over.”

All about the other Pixar exhibits
Along with Andy’s Room, visitors of the exhibit can also step inside other films like Cars, Finding Nemo, Inside Out, Ratatouille, Up, Elemental, Luca and even Monster’s Inc.
“During the tour, visitors will be able to sit next to Carl in the living room of the Up house [and] visit the factory of Monsters Inc,” Protactiv Entertainment, who helped curate the space, wrote in the press release. “There will also be the opportunity to prepare dishes in the kitchen of the Gusteau Restaurant from Ratatouille with Remy.”
The exhibit is sponsored by Pixar and is currently traveling around the world, trying to bring magic and light to as many people as possible.
The exhibit is currently in Barcelona, Spain, and has been since September. Before that, it was in Madrid, Spain, and sold “more than 200,000 [tickers] in its first month,” according to Protactiv Entertainment.
It is unclear where it will travel next or if it will ever come to the United States.
