As Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s news of a divorce settlement makes headlines, their six children are proving that they’re carving out their own unique paths. From pursuing Hollywood dreams to embracing personal passions, the Jolie-Pitt kids are navigating life in the spotlight while dealing with their parents’ very public split. Here, get to know Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, and learn which of them are stepping into the entertainment world—and which have made bold decisions like dropping Brad Pitt’s last name.
Maddox Jolie-Pitt (23 years old)
The eldest of Brad and Angelina, Jolie adopted her first child back in 2002 from Cambodia after she spent time in the country filming a movie. Now 23 years old, Maddox attended college in South Korea and over the years, has aided his famous mom and dad in various film projects they’ve worked on. Though he’s most comfortable behind the scenes, having recently assisted the director on Jolie’s film Maria, there’s more to Maddox than his interest in film—his mom recently revealed on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon that he was a pilot!
Pax Jolie-Pitt (21 years old)
Pax is the second oldest child in the Jolie-Pitt clan, adopted from Vietnam back in 2007 at three years old and formally adopted by Pitt shortly after in 2008. He too has kept largely out of the spotlight, but has still been involved in showbiz here and there over the years working as a set photographer and PA on films his mom and dad have been a part of. He even lent his voice to the 2016 film Kung Fu Panda 3!
Zahara Jolie-Pitt (19 years old)
Brad and Angelina’s 19-year-old daughter was adopted from Ethiopia in 2005 and has been nothing short of successful. From launching her own jewelry line to benefit a Los Angeles shelter to advocating for the causes important to her to proving herself as a stellar student at Spelman University, Zahara has forged her own path.
Shiloh Jolie (18 years old)
Jolie gave birth to her daughter Shiloh in 2006 and though she too has made small appearances in her parents’ films, she enjoys living a life outside of the spotlight. Instead, her passion reportedly lies with dancing. Earlier in the year, the 18-year-old famously went forward with the proceedings to drop “Pitt” from her last name.
Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie (16 years old)
Brad and Angelina welcomed twins Knox and Vivienne in 2008, and while Knox has stayed largely out of the spotlight, his sister Vivienne has made more of a mark on the entertainment industry over the years. For starters, she appeared alongside her mother in the 2014 film Maleficent, and over the last year, her passion for theater has been on full display as she was credited in the playbill for The Outsiders, a musical in which her mother is a producer. On the playbill was the first instance in which she publicly went without her father’s last name, though her twin brother has kept it thus far.
