Kristin Juszczyk Clothing: Inside Her New Off-Season Line

In recent years, Kristin Juszczyk, fashion designer and wife of San Francisco 49’s fullback Kyle Juszczyk, has gone viral for her homemade sideline outfits—including long coats, puffer jackets and a puffer vest or two. Her designs have since been worn by NFL players and their celebrity fans like Taylor Swift, Brittany Mahomes, Simone Biles and more. Now, she is getting ready to share her beloved designs with the world under the brand name “Off-Season,” in partnership with entrepreneur Emma Grede. First for Women recently caught up with Juszczyk to discuss what she wants people to know about the brand, how she got into designing and more as she gets ready to launch Off-Season. Keep reading for what she had to say.

First for Women: As we head into the Super Bowl, what do you think people can expect from The Chiefs and The Eagles?

Kristin Juszczyk: The Super Bowl is one of the most watched games, and it’s just so exciting to see the two best teams play each other—and all the amazing commercials. It’s really just a moment in history, no matter what teams are playing, so I’m excited to be tuning in.

FFW: Speaking of football, you’re well-known for making your own game-day outfits. What made you want to start doing that?

KJ:  My husband’s been so fortunate to have a 12-year career in the NFL, and about six, seven years ago, I got sick of wearing the same three T-shirts in rotation. So, I decided it would be really fun to just go on YouTube and start looking up tutorials on how to make a pair of sweatpants, which is where it all started.  After that, I just really got addicted to that feeling, and it snowballed from there.

FFW: What do you want people to know about your new brand, Off-Season, and how does it feel knowing that your designs will be everywhere?

KJ: Off-Season has been the most pinch-me moment. Truly, all I’ve ever wanted was to dress the fans, so I can’t wait until I’m in a stadium and able to hopefully bump into some people wearing Off-Season.  But what’s so important about this brand is we’re really trying to blend quality and fashion and bring it into sports apparel. We just started with puffers, but we have so much to come, and we have so many really cool fashion pieces.

I know we started at a pretty high price point with puffers, but I think anybody who has purchased one can understand that the quality is the best. It will keep you warm and last in your closet for years, which was so important to us.

FFW: You recently did a campaign with teeth-straightening brand Invisalign; why did you decide to partner with them?

KJ: This is the second year now in a row that I’ve partnered with them, and what’s so important about Invisalign is that it transcends your confidence. There’s nothing better than feeling your best self, and there’s nowhere I go without my Invisalign because my smile makes me feel the most confident.

I really believe in “look good, feel good,” and that’s what’s so amazing about confidence. It makes you really feel your utmost best, and it makes you perform the best.

FFW: You’ve been married to your husband, Kyle Juszczyk, for about five years. How has that journey been and what’s next?

KJ:  It’s been so amazing to watch his career flourish. It’s just so important to have a good partnership at home. I really do think that your success starts at home, and if you’re not flourishing at home, it’s hard to flourish in other places.

It’s just been really amazing to watch our two worlds blend together in the NFL. It’s just been an incredible journey.
