Shrimp cocktail is one of those appetizers that tend to be filler on the buffet at parties. I mean let’s face it, you can even buy it already prepared in plastic trays at the grocery store. But this classic bite doesn’t have to be boring. That’s what inspired this Chili-Spiced Shrimp Cocktail recipe. We give it a delicious Tex-Mex twist.
I always keep a few good bottled dressings on hand. They’re easy to upgrade with all sorts of other ingredients. For extra zing, we stir fresh lime zest and juice into olive oil vinaigrette. Instead of boiling the shrimp with Old Bay seasoning, we sprinkle with chili powder and sauté until golden brown. So yummy! Then serve it up over a bed of crisp lettuce and creamy avocado in dessert glasses for an elegant presentation. Tune into our video and watch how easy it is then leave us a comment.
