2010: Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds meet on the set of ‘Green Lantern’
Lively and Reynolds meet on the set of the 2010 superhero film Green Lantern. At the time, Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson, and Lively was dating her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley. It is widely believed that the two left their respective partners at the time to be with each other.
June 15, 2011: Their first red carpet together
A year after filming wrapped, Lively and Reynolds decided to walk the red carpet together for the Green Lantern premiere, even though Reynolds’s divorce wasn’t finalized yet.
At the time, though, the two claimed they were just going to it as friends and co-stars, not as lovers.
September 9, 2012: Blake and Ryan tie the knot
A little over a year after their first-ever red carpet debut, Lively and Reynolds decided to marry at the Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina—a location that would later put the couple in hot water.

May 5, 2014: Their first official appearance as a married couple
A little less than two years after their wedding, Lively and Reynolds decided to make their red carpet-debut as a married couple.
They did so at the 2014 Met Gala and the theme that year was “Charles James: Beyond Fashion.”
Lively and Reynolds have since attended several more Met Galas together.
December 16, 2014: Blake and Ryan welcome their first child
After announcing they were expecting in October 2014, Lively and Reynolds shared that they had welcomed their first child together in January 2015. A year later, Reynolds then took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to wish his daughter a happy birthday, writing, “Happy birthday to my baby girl! Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter.”

September 2016: Baby number two arrives

The child’s name was later confirmed as Betty by her godmother and close family friend, Taylor Swift, in her 2020 album folklore.
May 2, 2022: Blake and Ryan co-chair the Met Gala
Given their many Met Gala appearances, it makes sense that Lively and Reynolds were named as co-chairs for the 2022 event. The theme was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and the couple co-hosted it with Broadway mogul Lin-Manuel Miranda, actress Regina King and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour.
November 17, 2022: Blake Lively praises her husband
During her speech at the American Cinematheque Awards, Lively took the time to praise her husband and his work, saying, “This man, he has contributed so much to the world’s international happiness with his art, his heart, his philanthropy, his humor, his integrity, his unmatched work ethic, his self-deprecating levity, his hard-earned depths in his scripts.”
“And now I am his home, and our girls are his home,” she continued. “And just like that 19-year-old boy, he races home; whether it’s from across the globe or a meeting across the street, he is hard-wired to get home. If he came home from the set not in his wardrobe, we would be very concerned.”
February 12, 2023: The couple welcomes their fourth child
After Lively posted a picture on Instagram without her baby bump, fans began to believe that the couple had welcomed their fourth child together.
They had announced that they were expecting in September 2022, with Reynolds saying in a speech a couple of months after that, “It’s gonna be a fourth child very soon. If it happens tonight while I’m here, I will be looking for a couch to sleep on for a little while.”

During Reynolds’s hit film Deadpool & Wolverine, there is a segment where a bunch of Deadpools from other universes emerge from a portal and face the original, and who better to play Lady Deadpool than Lively?
The actress appeared for about five minutes in the film alongside their daughter Inez.
