At age 30, Ally Brooke is not letting life get her down. Best known for being one of the lead vocalists in the popular girl group Fifth Harmony, the singer has gone on to have a widely successful solo career and has even appeared on the hit reality TV show The Surreal Life. Most recently, she has also created a petite-sized clothing line with the nationwide department store JCPenney. To celebrate her new line, First for Women, recently caught up with Brooke to discuss the design process, her engagement to Will Bracey and her time in Fifth Harmony. Read on for more.
Ally Brooke spills on creating a petite fashion line
At 5’0, Brooke is far too familiar with struggling to find clothes that fit her. Now, to help herself and other petite women around the country feel more confident, the singer has teamed up with JCPenney to create and release a brand new line of petite clothing.
“I loved part of the design process. I loved picking out the fabrics and textures and seeing them on the models,” Brooke told First for Women. “I’m a petite girl, and it’s so hard to find your style. It’s so hard to find clothing of length. So to be able to create a line for petites is very exciting.”
The collection includes various items, including suits, shirts, skirts, dresses, and jackets. It’s currently available for purchase in JCPenney stores or online.
Ally Brooke talks Fifth Harmony and a potential reunion
Brooke was a part of the beloved girl group Fifth Harmony, which swept music charts worldwide from 2012 to 2018 thanks to its catchy and relatable tunes like “Miss Moving On” and “That’s My Girl.” It consisted of Camila Cabello, Normani, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane and, of course, Brooke,
When asked about her time in the band, Brooke said, “I loved being a part of something bigger myself, and something that meant so much to so many people. It changed the game for me. It will forever be a part of me.”
Brooke also shared that her favorite song is “Worth It” before revealing that she would “love a reunion tour. I think a lot of people would go, and it would be a lot of fun.”
All about her time on reality show ‘The Surreal Life’
In 2024, Brooke appeared on the hit MTV reality show The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, which follows a group of celebrities forced to live together in a Hollywood Mansion for six weeks.
“It was a good time for sure,” Brooke said. “I had a blast, learned a lot and pushed myself.”
Brooke was in eight total episodes of the show, which finished airing in September 2024
Ally Brooke reveals that she and her fiancé have set a wedding date
Brooke met her fiancé, Will Bracey, in 2015 after he became Fifth Harmony’s tour manager. They then got engaged in December 2023 and have been planning their wedding ever since.
“We have a date, which is crazy,” Brooke told First for Women. “I’m so in love with him and we are thrilled and cannot wait to get married.”
Bracey is six years older than Brooke and currently works as a music industry executive. He has never been married before.
