Super Bowl Sunday means plenty of new food items popping up for fans to savor while watching the big game! Following suit, fast-food chain KFC is launching a limited-time collaboration with a popular sauce company to dress up their famous chicken. What is the KFC and Mike’s Hot Honey Sauce partnership?
KFC already offers saucy nuggets on its menu, with sauce options like Honey Garlic, Mango Habanero and Chipotle Ranch to choose from. The popular menu item launched in March 2024 and three new flavors were added in August.
Now it’s shaking up its Original Recipe chicken even more with a new collab: Mike’s Hot Honey. Teaming up with the hot honey brand means the fast-food chain is able to add a little sweet-and-spicy flavor to its iconic chicken.
“Combining KFC’s flavorful fried chicken with the bold, sweet heat of Mike’s Hot Honey just makes sense,” Catherine Tan-Gillespie, chief marketing officer and development officer for KFC, said in a statement. “Crispy, juicy, salty, spicy, sweet—it’s food alchemy that’s meant to be!”
The popular product is 100% pure honey infused with chilies, resulting in a delicious mix of hot and sweet. The company suggests drizzling it on BBQ ribs, pizza or chicken wings—making this a great collaboration.
As part of the partnership, three menu items are dropping for a limited time this February. The options are perfect for both individuals and groups who want to grab a taste.
The KFC and Mike’s Hot Honey Sauce Meals
Anyone looking to try the hot honey can get a drizzle of it on any of KFC’s nuggets, sandwiches or tenders while supplies last, according to the press release. But the company is also offering it in three different meal deals:
- Two-Piece Fried Chicken. This $7 box meal features two pieces of chicken (Original Recipe or Extra Crispy) drizzled with Mike’s Hot Honey. It also includes a choice of an individual side and a biscuit.
- Three-Piece Original Recipe Tenders. For this meal, you’ll receive three chicken tenders that have been drizzled with the hot honey. It also includes a biscuit and a choice of a side—all for $7.
- Fan Favorite’s Box. Perfect for sharing, this $25 option includes four pieces of chicken on the bone drizzled with Mike’s Hot Honey, 12 nuggets, fries, four biscuits and four sauces. If you want even more hot honey to enjoy, it can be included as one of your four sauce picks!
How you can get the new KFC items
Excited to try this sweet-and-spicy chicken? The combination will be ready for tasting starting February 9, just in time for the Super Bowl. But there’s a catch—it will only be available on DoorDash, Grubhub and UberEats on game day.
Then starting Monday, February 10, the collab officially drops at restaurants nationwide. You can order any of the above deals (or Mike’s Hot Honey on your chicken) via the KFC app (delivery or pick-up) or on KFC.com.
