Reading clues from victims’ bones is what Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), a forensic anthropologist, does. So, when she is tapped by law enforcement to assist with investigations, she’s teamed up with Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). Booth, for his part, is hard to please as he doesn’t trust science or scientists, but begins to appreciate Brennan’s skill.
Although Brennan and Booth fall for each other on-screen, eventually marrying and having children, the stars of Bones have their own love lives behind the scenes. From Emily Deschanel to David Boreanaz and beyond, find out which of these Bones cast members are married in real life!
Emily Deschanel and David Hornsby: a quiet love story
Bones star Emily Deschanel met her now-husband, actor and screenwriter David Hornsby, through friends and began dating in 2007. The couple tied the knot three years later on September 25, 2010.
About a year later, Deschanel and Hornsby welcomed their first child, a son named Henry, on September 21, 2011. Deschanel spoke about her pregnancy before giving birth, saying, “I really like being pregnant. Not that there aren’t things I don’t love, but when I think about what my body is doing — creating a child — it just blows my mind.” The couple welcomed their second son, in 2015.
David Boreanaz’s journey to love: from Ingrid Quinn to Jaime Bergman
Just as David Boreanaz was rising to fame as Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, he married his first wife, Ingrid Quinn. The couple wed in 1997, with Quinn serving as a stabilizer for Boreanaz in a time of crazy fame.
However, it seems the attention from the public ultimately led to their demise as well, as it reportedly caused tension between the two. Boreanaz and Quinn separated in early 1999, finalizing their divorce later that year. According to the media, their separation came after struggling to adjust to the actor’s tough schedule, long hours and need to be away from home so often.
In happier times, Boreanaz stated to Entertainment Tonight, “Ingrid’s always been supportive. She has the same attitude as I do: If you don’t get something, it’s not meant to be. She’ll help me along the way, as far as preparing for something. She’s tough as nails—one strong Irish woman.”
Following his first marriage to Quinn, Boreanaz wed his current wife, model and actress Jaime Bergman, in 2001. The couple were married in a small ceremony, scrapping plans for a larger celebration after the 9/11 attacks.
Boreanaz and Bergman welcomed their first child, son Jaden, in 2002, and their second, a daughter Bella, in 2009. On the outside, the couple seemed to be picture-perfect, until Boreanaz admitted in 2010 that he had been unfaithful to his wife.
“Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities,” the actor shared. “I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible… We’re working on our marriage. We’re working on repairing what has been damaged so badly.”
The couple have since shared about their comeback, explaining that the infidelity (with the help of marriage counseling) made their bond stronger, as they had to fight for what they wanted. Today, the two are still together and seemingly better than ever.
Tamara Taylor and Miles Cooley: romance and heartbreak
Tamara Taylor, who portrays Dr. Camille Saroyan on Bones, found her match in attorney Miles Cooley. The couple, who got engaged in 2006, officially tied the knot in 2007 in an intimate ceremony on a Mexican beach.
“They are both thrilled,” her rep said. “Their wedding day could not have been more perfect.”
Unfortunately, the couple didn’t last, as they split up and officially divorced in 2012.
John Francis Daley and Corinne Kingsbury: a private love life
Bones alum John Francis Daley (Lance Sweets) began dating his current wife, writer Corinne Kingsbury, back in 2014. After two years of seeing each other, the couple were married in 2016. In 2017, they welcomed their only child, son Basil Daley. Daley and Kingsbury have a rather private relationship and there isn’t much public information about them.
