In the video, Caleb explained that he met a woman at a local Dollar Tree who had arrived with three little children in a run-down car. When he passed her in the aisle, he noticed she was collecting ingredients similar to the ones in Chobat’s Dollar Tree Thanksgiving dinner video. When Caleb asked the woman if she had followed the account, the woman explained she had planned to just make frozen dinners for Thanksgiving, but that the video is allowing her to make a real dinner for her children.
Many commenters have said Chobat should be treasured for the work she is doing with her account, with some explaining how she has helped them out during a tough time. Chobat posted a thank you to Caleb for sharing his story, saying how grateful she was.
“I don’t have the words to describe how I’m feeling today,” Chobat shared in the video. “I think the closest I can come to is that I’m humbled, and I am honored although I don’t really think that fully encapsulates it.”
